Emergent

Emergent Health’s paramedics and EMTs provide medical 9-1-1 coverage for more than 1 million Michigan residents and respond to upward of 200,000 medical emergencies per year. In 2012 our Board of Trustees created Emergent Health Partners, which owns and operates HVA as well as five other ambulance services throughout southern Michigan. In 2017 LifeCare merged with the Ann Arbor-based EMS organization, Emergent Health Partners. In addition to LifeCare, Emergent Health owns and operates five other ambulance services throughout. Emergent Health Partners is made up of high-quality, non-profit EMS organizations across southern Michigan. We have the privilege of serving over 1 million people throughout a diverse service area. The services of an ambulance service owned and operated by Emergent Health Partners must be used to be eligible for membership benefits. Emergency 9-1-1 calls have priority over non-emergency calls.
